Leadership
The elected leadership of UFCW 21 is the Executive Board for the union.
The Union President Dave Schmitz, Secretary-Treasurer Diane Zahn and Recorder/Executive Vice-President Todd Crosby are the three union staff on the Board.
The remaining members of the board - over thirty - are rank-and-file members from diverse workplaces, income levels, ethnic and racial backgrounds, and are veterans of the workplace and relative newcomers.
In addition, our union's strength comes from a vast network of union stewards for over 800 workplaces across the state. Stewards volunteer as union leaders in the workplaces - being the eyes and ears for violations of contracts, meeting and greeting new members, and involving fellow workers in actions to build strength of their union.
Finally, UFCW 21's professional staff of union and community organizers, union representatives, and others provide support and long-term relationships to achieve the mission.
